What's new for 2024


Here’s an overview of what you can expect for 2024:
  • Medical contributions will remain the same in 2024. Please note if your wage changes your medical contributions may change.
  • The Medical Option 3 annual coinsurance maximum and out-of-pocket maximum will increase in some tiers to comply with IRS rules.
  • There will be no changes to dental and vision plans or contributions.
  • There will be no changes to Tobacco User or Working Person contributions.

Retirees: Please refer to the contribution chart located inside the Annual Enrollment packet that was mailed in early October for the annual contribution, annual deductible, and co-insurance maximum for each option and coverage level. If you use tobacco, now is a good time to quit.

Those who use tobacco will pay an additional $625 in annual contributions. This applies to employees only, not covered dependents.

If you don’t use tobacco, or you commit to quit by joining a cessation program, you will pay less. Tobacco products include cigarettes, pipes, cigars, smokeless tobacco and electronic cigarettes.

Working Spouse Contributions

If your working spouse is offered medical coverage by their employer (other than GE) and does not enroll, you will need to pay an additional pre-tax amount through your regular payroll contributions.
